Colloidal Mixers

Reader Colloidal Mixers mix a wide range of cement based materials, including polymeric grouts quickly and efficiently with Reader Colloidal Grout Mixers.

Models CGM 150, CGM 250, CGM 450

• The CGM series of high speed, high shear, colloidal grout mixers provide an extremely efficient and rapid means of producing various types of grout. These may include cement, bentonite, sand, and a wide range of polymeric grouts.
• The high speed shearing action of the colloidal mixer achieves a greater hydration of the cement by wetting each individual particle
• It is more advantageous to use a colloidal mixer when the grout includes bentonite.
• The mixing time is significantly lower than conventional paddle mixers due to the effect of the vortex created by rapid tangential recirculation of the grout.
• Mixers are available with pneumatic, hydraulic or electric prime movers.
• The mixing tank is fitted with a bag splitter which enables the material to be evenly distributed into the mix, and the splitter is easily removed, allowing access to the inside of the mixing tank.
• The unit is fitted with a 60 mm o.d. outlet pipe connected to a three-way hand- operated valve, which enables the mix to be discharged or re-circulated.
• The mixing drum is made from heavy-duty, rolled steel, reinforced at the top and fitted with a flange at the base to allow easy removal from the pump assembly.
• Special power units are available on most models to comply with customers specifications.
